About Babi's

Babi's opened in 2015 in order to fill a dire need in the Ottawa Jewish community – a kosher restaurant… Since we opened our doors, we were surprised and excited to discover that families and patrons of all faiths visit us, some without even knowing what kosher food is, and enjoy our wide selection. We are pleased and happy to invite everyone to dine with us, even just for a cup of coffee and a scone to go (did we mention they are freshly baked and come in a variety of different flavors?...)

What's Babi's?

Before you go, we can't let you leave without getting an answer to the question we get asked most often – what does the name "Babi's" mean? Well, It's a lot simpler than you think! Babi is a term of endearment in Hebrew (specifically, in Sephardic families) that you only call someone you are close to, and love.

We invite you to be a part of the Babi's family!

From the Press

Stephen B.

"Babi's catered our daughter's bat mitzvah kiddush recently, as well as our son's bar mitzvah kiddush last year. The food was fresh, well presented, and very well received by the congregation. It was a pleasure to plan out the menu and see the finished product."

Tommy D.

"Babi's serves up remarkably good vegetarian meals, couple that with custom cakes, they are my go to restaurant in Ottawa.... Plus they are Kosher !!!"

Yael P.
